Cat feeding points: making everyday compassion dependable

Animals do not need occasional sympathy as much as they need reliable care that someone has thought through

In January 2023, PakSarZameen installed two cat feeding points at Hashmi Garden and Milad Chowk in Gulzar e Sadiq

PurposeReliable feeding access for stray and feral cats

Story arc

Why this small intervention matters

01

Recognize daily vulnerability

Stray and feral cats depend on the spaces around them, but those spaces do not always offer dependable care

02

Create a stable point of support

Feeding stations turn an irregular act of kindness into a more reliable routine

03

Invite community responsibility

Once care is made visible and organized, neighbors can respond more intentionally

Outcomes

What changed through this project

  • Stray cats in the area gained a more predictable source of care
  • Animal welfare became easier for residents to notice and support in everyday life
  • The initiative created a simple model for compassionate neighborhood action
